Nippon Seiki Enters Software & UI Consulting Business, Establishes New Subsidiary ” MELHE UI Co., Ltd.” to Leverage Manufacturing Expertise for New Growth Field

Nippon Seiki Co., Ltd. (Head Office: Nagaoka City, Niigata Prefecture; President: Keiichi Nagano), hereinafter “Nippon Seiki,” has established MELHE UI Co., Ltd., a wholly-owned subsidiary, on September 2, 2025. This strategic move marks Nippon Seiki’s entry into the software and UI (User Interface) consulting business, utilizing the technologies and expertise cultivated through its automotive components business, as a new growth field. The new company will commence operations on October 1, 2025.

■ Background and Purpose of New Company Establishment
Currently, with the advancement of the digital society, software is becoming a core element across all industries. Particularly in the automotive industry, where Nippon Seiki’s main business lies, the trend of CASE (Connected, Autonomous, Shared, and Electrification) is driven by Software Defined Vehicles (SDV), where the vehicle’s functions and performance are largely determined by software. These transformations highlight the need for further evolution in response to social trends and strategic initiatives into new business domains.

Therefore, Nippon Seiki has established a new company to launch a software and UI consulting business in new fields. This new company will capitalize on the strengths derived from its experience in developing and manufacturing automotive components for SDVs, including its reliable and user-friendly software and Human-Machine Interface (HMI) technologies and expertise.

The new company, MELHE UI Co., Ltd., will operate three main businesses: ” Life App Business,” “UI Innovation Business,” and “Connective Design Business,” providing content and services that bring safety and reliability to people’s daily lives. The name MELHE UI stands for “Make Everybody’s Life Happy Echigo”, embodying the meaning that leveraging UI technologies developed in Echigo (=Niigata Area), we aim to enrich and bring happiness to everyone’s daily lives.
