Memorandum of Understanding signed with Emerging Display Technologies Corporation

On February 19, 2025, Nippon Seiki Co., Ltd. and Emerging Display Technologies Corporation (EDT) have officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in Nagaoka, Niigata Prefecture, to collaborate on manufacturing and market expansion of TFT LCD modules for Automotives.

We, Nippon Seiki, have over 70 years of experience in the automotive instrument market and hold rich expertise in product design, production and manufacturing, as well as one of the world’s leading market shares. Notice of the impact of the Noto Earthquake in Japan on January 1st 2024

I would like to express my deepest condolences to all those affected by the Noto Earthquake in Ishikawa Prefecture Japan and wish for the earliest possible recovery.
We are pleased to inform you of the impact of this earthquake as follows.

Immediately after the January 1st earthquake, Japanese earthquake scale of lower 6 was observed in Nagaoka City, Niigata Prefecture, where our head office plant, the Nagaoka Plant, and our affiliated companies are located. We would like to express our gratitude to our many customers and suppliers for their concerns and requests for support and cooperation.

No employee injuries

(2) Status of Buildings, Facilities and Production
There is no significant damage on the Head Office Plant, the Nagaoka Plant, NS Advantech Co., Ltd., and Nissei Service Warehouse Building. No damage has occurred to the production equipment resulting in failure or shutdown. Production at the plant was suspended until January 7 due to the winter holidays. The operation check was performed during the holiday period, and the operation from January 8 is not affected.

当社の連結子会社であるN.S.International, Ltd.（米国ミシガン州）は６月に、GM様より「2020 Supplier of the Year」を受賞しました。

この賞は、GM様の 購買・エンジニアリング・品質・製造・ロジスティクス部門で構成されるグローバルチームが、グローバルでの製品購入 及び、製造サービス、カスタマーケアとアフターサービス、およびロジスティクスでのパフォーマンスの基準に基づいて、コモディティ毎に一社を選定しています。当社は「Audio, Visual Infotainment Systems Commodity」での受賞となりました。［Supplier of the Yearを受賞したサプライヤ数は122社］　なお、受賞式は10月に執り行われる予定です。

Development of CO2 concentration measuring device / introduced in the news

5月27日に、CO2濃度測定器の開発について、報道メディア･ニュースにおいて紹介いただきました。

コロナ禍に於いて、新しい生活様式への変化が求められるなか、当社が保有する技術を活用して「安心・安全」の提案、提供ができないか・・・という想いから、CO2濃度測定器を開発するに至りました。

Nippon Seiki received the encouragement award for the “Niigata health management promotion company award”

当社は、新潟県庁にて4月23日に開催された、にいがた健康経営推進企業表彰において、「奨励賞」を受賞しました。

にいがた健康経営推進企業表彰は、従業員及びその家族に対して、健康づくり活動に積極的に取り組んでいる企業や事業所を表彰し、その活動内容を広く周知することにより、新潟県企業等における健康づくりの取組の推進を図るものです。

今回は20事業所がエントリーされ、「奨励賞」は当社グループの他3事業所が受賞しました。当社は、2012年から減塩活動に取り組み、2019年には社員食堂において健康に配慮した独自の栄養基準を設定したウェルネスランチや配達弁当の提供を開始しています。保健師と栄養士の定例会議、栄養士コラムの配信、ウェルネスランチを活用して減量に成功した社員の取組を紹介するなどの活動を行い、2019年には厚生労働省・スポーツ庁主催「第8回健康寿命をのばそう！アワード」厚生労働省健康局長優良賞を受賞しました。

その後も活動を継続し、2020年度からは、定期健康診断の二次健康診断受診率向上の取組も行っています。当事者だけなく職場全体を巻き込み、受診を促すことで、90％以下だった受診率は現在95％を超えています。今回の受賞は、このような継続した活動が高く評価されたものと受けとめております。

駐日ブラジル大使　エドゥアルド・パエス・サボイア氏が、新潟県を訪れた際、当社を4月23日に訪問されました。

当社社長の佐藤から、訪問に対するお礼と、当社関係会社のあるブラジル２拠点の（マナウスおよびサンパウロ）紹介をさせて頂きました。

サボイア大使からは、ブラジルで活躍する日本人・日系人との良好な関係から、ビジネスのみならず、より幅広い分野で交流を深め、さらに良い関係を築き上げることができればとのお話がありました。

4月22日に、報道メディア様をお招きし、開発品をご紹介させて頂きました。

コロナ禍のなか、新たな取組みとして開催した「アイデアコンテスト」。国内および海外の従業員から240もの応募がありました。

その中で大賞に選出されたアイデアから、“会いたい人に、リアルで会えない”ニーズを、車載領域で培ったヘッドアップディスプレイ技術を用いた通信デバイスにより解消させる方向となりました。そして、若手６名の開発チームが結成され、現在では開発品をリリースするまでに至ります。

当日は、多数のメディアの方々からの「どういう想いで開発しましたか」「どういうシーンで使ってほしいですか」等の問いかけに、開発チームメンバーが、真摯にお応えさせて頂きました。

多数の報道メディアの方々にご来社いただき、誠にありがとうございました。

[Award] Awarded “Best CO2 Emission Reduction Program” by Astra Honda in Indonesia / Commended by Aisan Industry Group for quality and delivery

当社連結子会社であるPT. Indonesia Nippon Seiki（インドネシアNS）は、3月に、現地インドネシアにおいて、P.T. Astra Honda Motor（アストラホンダ様）から、「2020年CO2排出削減プログラムBest１」(※1)を受賞しました。

（※1: インドネシアでの受賞名 TERBAIK 1 PROGRAM PENGURANGAN EMISI CO2 2020）

参加企業約160社から、ベストサプライヤー3社が選定され、その中でインドネシアNSが「ベスト１」となりました。環境マネジメントシステムに基づいたCO2削減の活動実績、取引先企業への同活動の教育訓練、ISO14001取得等が総合的に評価されたものと受けとめております。

また、愛三工業グループ様のインドネシア法人 P.T. Aisan Nasmoco Industri 様より、「2020 Zero Defect Achievement」 および 「2020 Delivery Achievement」と、２つカテゴリーで受賞をしました。４つのカテゴリー（Safety、Quality、Delivery、Cost）の中から２つを受賞したのは、サプライヤー企業約65社中12社であり、インドネシアNSは、その１社です。Zero Defect Achievementは品質不良ゼロを達成したこと、又 Delivery Achievementはお客様の計画通りに遅滞なく納入を達成できたことが評価されたものと受けとめております。

Two car dealers certified as “Excellent company for health management” for the second consecutive year

連結子会社である株式会社ホンダ四輪販売長岡と新潟マツダ自動車株式会社は、2021年3月4日に、経済産業省と日本健康会議が共同で進める「健康経営優良法人」に二年連続で認定されました。

健康経営優良法人認定制度とは、地域の健康課題に即した取り組みや優良な健康経営を実践している企業などの法人を認定する制度です。今回の認定は、社内調査による労働環境の改善や、産業医・保健士による指導など、健康づくりの体制整備が評価されたものと受け止めております。

Notice of closure of offering free face shields

新型コロナウイルス感染拡大防止に向けた支援として、飛沫防護マスク生産・無償提供のご案内を掲載しましたところ、多数のご用命いただき、無償提供の1,000セットに達することとなりました。

今後の生産数の増加と販売については検討の上決定次第、HPにて再度ご案内させて頂きます。

本展では、長年自動車産業で培った技術とIoT技術を融合させた高信頼性クラウド型遠隔監視システム「SMASH」を展示します。石油化学プラントなどでお使いいただける本質安全防爆合格品です。
